What good month - for me anyway. After reading about Max’s $1800+ day on his blog I realize I am just cracking the surface here - but it is progress none the less.

In March I earned $62.76 from my advertisers (AdSense and Chitika). This is up substantially from February where I earned $36.06. I account for the increase in the following activities I completed:

1. I redesigned The Dividend Guy, The Running Guy, AlbertaTourist.com and this site. I think the switch to cleaner, more visually pleasing templates for the blogs and the site made it a bit easier to keep people on each site for a bit longer, increasing the chances of an extra click or two.

2. I focused on blending the Google ads into the site as opposed to having them stand out. This seemed to work well.

3. I also set up channels in AdSense so that I can track which ads perform better than the others. I have not done the analysis yet but will do so in a future post.

These earnings average out to about $2 per day - still a long way off from my $5 per day goal. I really believe that I need to add at least a couple more sites to get these clicks up.

March was an encouraging month for me - I hope that I can continue this and I actually make more in April.
